About the Event
Demo Day is a competitive, live pitch competition hosted by Confluence Tech Hub during STL Startup Week. Three tech startups take the stage in a Shark Tank-style event, pitching to judges and a live audience. Startups compete for cash prizes, with first and second place walking away with the biggest amounts.

Who Can Apply

We’re looking for early-stage tech and AI startups that are ready to grow. To be eligible, your product or service should be tech-based, your business should be active with less than $250,000 in revenue, and you should have a clear path to generating income. We’re also looking for teams that have identified a target market and have the potential to scale. Applicants must be legal U.S. residents, 18 or older, and available to pitch in person at the event on November 12, 2025.

What to Expect

Once applications close on October 22, we’ll review all submissions and select three finalists to pitch live at OPO Startups. Finalists will be notified by October 29. Each presenter will have 10 minutes to pitch their startup and answer questions from our panel of judges. Every finalist will receive a cash award, and 1st and 2nd place will take home larger prizes (amounts TBD).

Application Requirements

You’ll be asked to upload the following materials:

A PDF outlining your business concept (10 pages max)
A 1-page business model canvas
Short responses (max 500 words each) to the following questions:
- Why should we select you?
- What will you do with the prize money?
- Where do you see your business in 2 years?
- How will you impact the local economy?
